National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands Americans enjoy. In 2009, 150,000 volunteers built trails and bridges, removed trash and invasive plants, planted trees and restored our water resources. Join us for the next NPLD on September 25, 2010. WHEN: September 25th, 11:00am-2:00pm WHERE: Stewart Pond Natural Area in the West Eugene Wetlands WHAT: Trail maintenance and trash clean up! WHO: WREN, The BLM, City of Eugene Stream Team and REI! The West Eugene Early Detection of Invasives Network (WEEDIN) program will also have a booth!
